Owners of lands, which have been acquired for the four-laning of Thirumangalam – Shencottai National Highway can apply for getting compensation.
In a statement, District Collector Ranjeet Singh said lands of individuals in Kadayanallur, Sivagiri and Shencottai taluks had been acquired for the Thirumangalam – Shencottai 4-lane national highway.
While most of the land-losers have received the compensation, a few from Chokkampatti, Krishnapuram, Idaikaal, Kadayanallur, Achchanpudur, Kasidharmam, Madaththupatti, T.N. Puthukkudi, Variavankulam and Chinthamani, all in Kadayanallur Taluk, Inaam Kovilpatti, Sivagiri – I, Rayagiri – I and II, Thirumalaapuram, Naranaapuram – I and II, Vasudevanallur, Subramaniapuram and Ramanathapuram, all in Sivagiri taluk and Vadakaraikeezhpidaagai, Paimpozhil, Thenpoththai, Shencottai Melur, Pudur and Puliyarai in Shencottai taluk were yet to receive the compensation.
Hence, they may apply with Special Tahsildars (Land Acquisition) Kadayanallur and Sivagiri or Special District Revenue Officer (Land Acquisition) and submit relevant land documents for getting the compensation, Mr. Ranjeet Singh said.
