The Idukki District Congress Committee (DCC) on Saturday nominated Nikhil Paily, an accused in the murder of Dheeraj Rajendran, a BTech student at the Idukki Government Engineering College, Painavu, and a Students Federation of India (SFI) activist, to the committee.
When the police had registered the arrest of Mr. Paily in 2022, he was the Youth Congress Vazhathope mandalam president.
Majo Karimuttam, Joy Vadakkedam, Varkey Alakkaprambil, and George Joseph were also nominated to the committee, according to a statement issued by the DCC on Saturday.
