A man was found dead in a marshy area near Baliapattam Tile Works along the KSTP Road near Pazhayangadi in Valapattanam on Thursday (May 21, 2026).
Residents, who noticed a foul smell around noon, found the body lying face down in the slush beside the road in Pappinisseri and alerted the police.
The Valapattanam police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The body was later shifted to the hospital mortuary after the inquest proceedings.
