A review meeting on drinking water supply schemes, solid waste management, and ongoing development works was held under the chairmanship of District Collector S. Kandasamy at the Collectorate here on Thursday (May 14, 2026).
The Collector reviewed measures to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply during the summer, the quantum of water being supplied under various schemes, and the status of pending drinking water projects. He instructed officials to expedite the completion of the works.
He also reviewed the progress of development works being carried out in Corporation and Municipal areas and directed officials to complete them within the stipulated time and bring them into public use at the earliest. Reviewing solid waste management activities, the Collector instructed officials to remove garbage dumped along roadsides without delay.
Arpit Jain, Commissioner of City Municipal Corporation, municipal commissioners, and officials from various departments participated in the meeting.
