Chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) K. Shiva Sena Reddy said the primary objective of the week-long youth and sports initiative was to identify hidden sporting talent among Telangana’s youth and provide them with opportunities, encouragement, and institutional support.
Organised as part of the ‘Praja Palana -Pragati Pranalika’ initiative by the State government, the event concluded on a grand note at Gachibowli Stadium on Friday.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony, Mr. Shiva Sena Reddy described Telangana as a land filled with immense potential and reiterated the government’s commitment to help deserving youth from every corner of the State excel in sports.
Managing Director of SATG and Commissioner of Youth Services Soni Bala Devi said that over 300 private companies had shortlisted approximately 11, 200 eligible youth for jobs during the job melas conducted from May 1 to 12 across the State.
On the occasion, appointment letters were distributed to candidates selected through recent job melas conducted in Hyderabad and various district headquarters. Medals and trophies were presented to winners of competitions held as part of the Sports Day celebrations on May 21. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to participants who excelled in sports, youth engagement, cultural, and awareness activities conducted over the six-day festival.
Representatives of companies who participated in the job mela and supported youth employment initiatives were felicitated on the occasion.
