Graduation Day

Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College celebrated its 49th Graduation Day. Secretary T. R. Kannan inaugurated. Principal K. Krishnaveni welcomed.

During the event, chief guest, chief scientist, CSIR - National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, N. Vijayan, encouraged the graduates to explore the entrepreneurial opportunities in the fields of agriculture, renewable energy, computer technology and artificial intelligence.

President P. Santhalakshmi and members of the management were present.

Freshers’ Day

Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science organised Freshers’ Day. Secretary V. M. K. K. Radhakrishnan welcomed.

President, T.M.H.N.U. A.S.G. Dharmarajan, vice-president, A.S. Jeevagan, general secretary, M.M. Anandavel, treasurer, and B. Ramachandran were present.

During the event, joint secretary of NSCAS K. Vanniarajan and Principal S. Chitra encouraged students.

Speaking at the event, chief guest, motivational speaker, Women Power Tamil Nadu, Madurai, D. Swarnalatha, encouraged the students to dream big and pursue their ambitions with determination.

Sri Krishnasamy Arts and Science College organised a Freshers’ Day programme. Chairman K. Raju presided along with vice-chairperson Pappa Raju. Secretary R. Muthukumar inaugurated.

During the event, principal N. Subburaj highlighted the college’s achievements. Chief guest, speaker and writer Kavitha Jawahar spoke about the importance of the college years in shaping a successful future. Administrative Officer Marikkalai coordinated the event.

Competition held

Department Library of Commerce, V.V.Vanniaperumal College, organised a ‘Book Review’ competition day.

Assistant Professor P. Amirthayogam served as Judge. A total of 13 students from Commerce participated.

Head and Associate Professor M. Ponnien Selvi distributed prizes. Assistant Professor P. Saritha organised this competition.

Father’s Day

Father’s Day was celebrated at Sri Krishnasamy International School. Correspondent R. Muthukumar and principal P. Arunkumar, presided. Kindergarten students entertained their parents.

International Yoga Day

Centre for Yoga Studies and National Service Scheme of Alagappa University jointly organised 12th International Yoga Day on the theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’. NSS coordinator M.Natarajan welcomed.

During the event, vice-chancellor G. Ravi emphasised that regular yoga practice strengthens both the body and mind.

Registrar A. Senthilrajan offered felicitation. More than 750 Students participated.

Coordinator, Centre for Yoga Studies, S. Saroja, proposed a vote of thanks. Joint organising secretary N. Krithika demonstrated common yoga protocol.

Awareness programme

Indian Medical Association, Oddanchatram and National Service Scheme, Dindigul district, organised World Blood Donor Day awareness programme at K.R. Government Higher Secondary School, Oddanchatram. Headmistress Manimozhi presided.

During the event, the secretary of the Indian Medical Association, and former Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Oddanchatram, A. Asaithambi, discussed the theme of the year, ‘One Drop of Humanity Gives Blood Saves Lives’. N.S.S. officer Saravanakumar and his team made the arrangements.

Convocation ceremony

GTN Arts College conducted its 58th Convocation ceremony. A total of 1,280 students received their degrees.

Secretary and correspondent K. Rethinam presided. Principal-in-charge M. Inbalakshmi welcomed.

Former Vellore District Collector C. Rajendran and former judge of the Madras High Court Justice R. Suresh Kumar were chief guests. Mr. Rajendran advised students to respect their parents and teachers, maintain discipline. Mr. Suresh Kumar encouraged graduates to develop positive thinking, uphold moral values, and work hard to achieve success in life. Director R. Durai made arrangements.
