At the Indian Premier League mini auction ahead of the 2026 edition, Venkatesh Iyer, at ₹7 crore, was Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s costliest buy. But the 31-year-old has played just one out of RCB’s seven games so far — as an Impact Player in the six-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals.
