R. Revathi, formerly Deputy Secretary, Higher Education Department, assumed charge as the Collector of Thanjavur district on Monday.

Prior to this, she was Deputy Secretary in the Higher Education Department by the Tamil Nadu government. Her predecessor, B.Priyanka Pankajam, has been transferred and posted as Director, Town Panchayats.
