Improve safety measures
The Rameswaram to Madurai four-lane national highway was built to ensure faster and safer travel. However, numerous barricades along the route affect the traffic flow. Further, advertisement boards placed on median dividers near village junctions obstruct the view of oncoming vehicles, posing a safety hazard.
The National Highways Authority of India should remove unnecessary barricades, clear visibility obstructions and improve safety measures on this toll-paying highway.

To ensure transparency
I recently arrived at Madurai airport and hired a taxi to travel to Ramanathapuram. The vehicle remained within the airport premises for only a few minutes to pick me up. However, a charge of ₹135 was collected as a parking fee.
Passengers are entitled to clarity regarding the basis of such charges. The airport authorities and the Civil Aviation Ministry should examine whether the fee structure is being implemented correctly and ensure that passengers are not subjected to inconvenience or confusion. Details of the contractor and applicable tariff should also be prominently displayed for public information.
