Rangoon, June 14: A new lightship known as ‘China Bakir’ lightship to be stationed at the mouth of the Rangoon river is being erected by the Port Commissioners. The vessel which has a candle power of 50,000 is reported to be unique of its kind in the East in respect of up to date arrangements and labour saving devices. Special care has been taken to make the ship’s light visible under the most favourable circumstances. The vessel is expected to be completed within the next three months.
