Telangana recorded its highest temperatures of the year on Monday (April 27, 2026) with several districts reeling under intense heatwave conditions. The temperatures breached 45℃ to reach 46℃ , a first this summer. A total of 12 districts recorded maximum temperatures between 45℃ and 46℃, as per Telangana Development Planning Society’s weather report. In the State capital, Charminar area recorded a maximum temperature of 42.5℃.
Mendora in Nizamabad district emerged as the hottest location, registering a maximum temperature of 46℃. This was followed by 45.9℃ in Bela (Adilabad), Nirmal Rural (Nirmal), Manthani (Peddapalli), 45.8℃ in Dharmapuri (Jagtial), Bichkunda (Kamareddy), Asifabad (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), Bheemaram (Mancherial), 45.6℃ in Chigurumamidi (Karimnagar), Damaracherla (Nalgonda), 45.2℃ in Rudrangi (Rajanna Sircilla) and 45℃ in Akkannapet (Siddipet).
