Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar attended the swearing-in ceremony of senior Congress leader V.D. Satheesan in Kerala on Monday (May 18).

Several senior Congress leaders from different States were present at the event, which drew a large gathering of party workers and supporters.

Mr. Shivakumar received a warm response from the crowd during the programme, with sections of the audience raising slogans of “DK, DK” as he appeared on the stage. The cheering continued for a brief period before the proceedings resumed.

Party sources said the Karnataka leaders interacted with senior Kerala Congress functionaries on the sidelines of the event.
