A man transporting over 48 kilograms of ganja on Nagavali Express was arrested during a joint operation by the Kamareddy police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) teams on Tuesday.
Following a tip-off, the officials carried out checks in the train and detained the accused identified as Rohith Sani Gorike, 18, a resident of Pune. Officials seized 48.77 kg of dry ganja from his possession.
Further investigation is under way to trace the source and intended destination of the consignment.
