The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has taken up a massive operation in Ameenpur area, and secured government land to the extent of 861 acres. The agency pulled down a guest house, a farm house, and a six-storeyed building, belonging to a Supreme Court lawyer, and his brother on Saturday.

A statement from HYDRAA has informed that the guest house and farm houses of M.A. Mokheem, and the building of his brother Azeem in Ailapur Tanda of Ameenpur mandal in Sangareddy district were built violating a court stay order.

The drive was conducted along with the Revenue officials under heavy police security.

The statement informed that despite clear High Court orders in 1998 prohibiting construction on these lands, Mr. Mokheem built a guest house in 2006 and developed a farmhouse spread across nearly 40 acres, complete with fencing, luxury facilities, and even horse stables.

As per the details, the land in Survey Nos. 1 to 220 in Ailapur hamlet of Ameenpur mandal is officially recorded as government land, since the land transfer as part of Hyderabad accession. Some layouts were developed on the land in the 1980s, and multiple ownership claims led to prolonged litigation. The High Court, in various orders including in 2003 and 2013, directed that the nature of the land should not be altered.

Despite these restrictions, unauthorized constructions and transactions reportedly continued over the years. Several cases related to the land are still pending before the High Court.

According to locals as cited by HYDRAA, Mokheem inherited only 19 acres of the land from his father who has worked under a minister of Nizam. However, he unauthorisedly occupied land much greater in extent and sold it to others too. He also allegedly managed several political leaders and maintained a lavish lifestyle bullying everyone who objected his land grabbing.
