The drinking water supply to several areas in Tiruchi will be suspended on Friday (June 5) due to pipeline connection works being undertaken by the Tiruchi City Corporation.

According to a press note, the main drinking water pumping pipeline from the Kambarasampettai head water works station and the Turban pumping station will be connected to a newly laid drinking water pumping pipeline near Kudamurutti under the Smart City project on Thursday.

As a result, water supply from these stations to the overhead tanks serving Viragupettai, Marakkadai, Rockfort, and Chinthamani areas will remain suspended on Friday.

Regular drinking water supply will resume from June 6.
