A total of 962 motorists were booked for driving under the influence of alcohol in a series of intensified enforcement drives conducted across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri over the past week.
In Hyderabad, traffic police booked 449 offenders during a two-day special drive on April 24 and 25. Two-wheeler riders accounted for the majority at 371 cases, followed by 48 four-wheelers and 30 three-wheelers.
