Moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms brought much-needed relief from the sweltering heat in the city on Friday, as many parts of the city experienced sudden showers.

The rainfall, coupled with gusty winds and occasional thunderstorms, created a pleasant atmosphere through the day. By the afternoon, strong winds were reported from a few areas, adding to the intensity of the weather conditions. However, the showers also led to waterlogging at multiple areas along the Maddilapalem to NAD Junction stretch, causing inconvenience to commuters. Office-goers, in particular, faced minor disruptions while travelling.
