Over 10 lakh voters have exercised their franchise during the incident-free election held in five Assembly constituencies of the district on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters after inspecting the sealing of strongrooms in Sriram Nallamani Yadav College at Kodikurichi, District Collector and District Election Officer A.K. Kamal Kishore said a total of 10,05,584 voters including 4,94,153 men, 5,52,624 women and 88 other voters have cast their votes in Sankarankovil (SC), Vasudevanallur (SC), Kadayanallur, Tenkasi and Alangulam Assembly constituencies.
