Bagalkot Police arrested an outsourced employee at the District Hospital on the charge of raping a woman in the hospital on Monday.
Farid Dange was also dismissed from temporary service.
The police said that he forced the victim, who had come to take care of her brother, a patient, into a wash room and sexually assaulted her.
He locked her up in the toilet and ran away. The woman was rescued by her relatives in the morning. They filed a complaint with the women police station.
