A 38-year-old fisherman died as a boat capsized in Apsarakonda beach in Honnavar taluk of Uttara Kannada.
Chandrakanth Kharvi of Honnavar and his associate had gone fishing when a large wave hit his boat.
The two of them fell into the sea. Chandrakanth Kharvi died, while his associate, Keshav Kharvi, survived after swimming ashore.
A case has been registered.
