Ivan D’Souza, MLC, on Friday criticised the Union government for hiking fuel prices and burdening the common people.

“It is a real eye-opener for BJP devotees,” he stated, adding that the Congress condemns the hike.

The increase in the prices of petrol and diesel has made the lives of people miserable. “This is as a lathi charge on the poor, farmers, and workers,” he said.

The Union government should roll back the hike, he said.
