Two workers were killed on the spot in a fireworks manufacturing unit godown in Cumbum in Theni district on Saturday. Two others suffered burn injuries and were admitted to hospital.
Police said Muthulakshmi of Bharathiar Nagar in Cumbum was running a fireworks unit on Kattupallivasal Road. The unit had been closed for three days in view of the general elections.
