District Collector Nishanthi T. convened a comprehensive district-level review meeting with education department officials and staff to assess the performance of Class X examination results and to outline strategies for achieving improved outcomes in the upcoming academic year, in Alluri Sitharama Raju district. The Collector conducted an in-depth review of the recent Class X examination results, expressing concern over the performance levels. It may be remembered that the ASR district saw about 57 % pass percentile in the examinations, the least in the state.
Detailed discussions were held on key aspects such as analysis of past results, completion of syllabus, conduct of special classes, and measures to support academically backward students.
Ms Nishanthi said that the primary focus was on identifying gaps in performance and formulating effective strategies to ensure better academic outcomes. The Collector emphasised the need for thorough analysis of previous results, timely completion of the syllabus, organising special coaching classes, providing focused attention to slow learners, preparing structured action plans to achieve 100% pass results. She also stressed that officials should prepare detailed progress reports of schools under their jurisdiction and design teaching methods that are student-friendly and effective. Headmasters were instructed to develop advance action plans, while ATWOs and MEOs were directed to ensure close and continuous monitoring of schools.
District-level officials were asked to conduct regular reviews, including weekly monitoring meetings. The Collector further mandated that 100% pass results must be achieved in supplementary examinations, warning that failure to meet this target would result in action against authorities concerned. District Educational Officer Krishna Rao and others were present.
