Two persons were killed in a collision involving a motorcycle and a bullock cart on a narrow stretch of a road due to alleged stacking of paddy grains on the roadside at Valbapur village in Veenavanka mandal of Karimnagar district on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Devender, 45, and Surender, 50, of Jammikunta. They were returning to Jammikunta on their motorcycle from Veenavanka when the accident occurred.
The Veenavanka police have registered a case and are investigating.
According to sources, the practice of using roads to dry harvested paddy grains is resulting in frequent accidents on the Jammikunta-Veenavanka main road, causing serious concern among motorists.
