Describing the Trinamool Congress as a “sidekick” of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary Mohhamed Salim on Tuesday said the West Bengal Assembly polls would be a fight between the “Left and the Right”.
Speaking at a “Meet the Press” event at the Kolkata Press Club, the CPI(M) leader said that the Trinamool Congress, which he claimed was devoid of any ideology, was “slowly withering”, especially after I-PAC (the political consultancy firm) suspended its operations.
