Severe labour shortage is likely to result in delay in the opening of the stations in the Chennai Metro Rail’s phase II stretch between Porur and Vadapalani.
Commuters have been waiting with bated breath to witness the launch of the Chennai Metro Rail Limited’s (CMRL) phase II network stretch from Poonamallee - Porur - Vadapalani for the last four months. This first section of phase II project was to be available for commuters in December last year itself, but the opening will happen only after election results are announced.
