Six United Democratic Front (UDF) candidates from Kozhikode district have urged Rathan U. Kelkar, Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala, to count Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips along with the votes cast in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in all polling stations in their constituencies on the counting day on May 4.
The candidates from Perambra, Koyilandy, Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode North, Kozhikode South, and Balussery Assembly Constituencies claimed in a letter on April 26 that they were apprehensive about the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
