The weekly Public Grievance Redressal programme, ‘Dial Your APEPDCL CMD’, received 51 complaints from electricity consumers across the eastern districts on Monday.
The programme, conducted every Monday by the Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APEPDCL), ensures speedy resolution of consumer issues, was held at the corporate office in Visakhapatnam. Consumers directly called in to voice their grievances.
According to a release, the complaints majorly pertained to voltage fluctuations, delays in releasing new domestic and agricultural power connections, line shifting requests, distribution transformer (DTR) replacements, and issues related to rooftop solar installations.
APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Immadi Prudhvitej reviewed the grievances individually and directed the departmental heads and field engineers to take immediate action for their resolution.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD urged the public to register their electricity-related complaints at any time by calling the toll-free number 1912 or by messaging the official WhatsApp number 9493681912.
