Thousands of devotees witnessed Lord Kallazhagar entering the Vaigai river in the early hours of Friday as a part of the Chitirai festival.
The holy flag was hoisted at the Sri Sundararaja Perumal temple here on April 26 in which scores of devotees participated, said Sourashtra Mahajana Sabha organisers.
