Guntur District Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal carried out a surprise inspection in the capital region under the Thulluru police station limits on Friday (May 29, 2026) and reviewed security arrangements, asking police personnel to remain on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents.

During the visit, the SP inspected the functioning of police check-posts at Mandadam, Thulluru, Krishnayapalem and Inavolu. He asked officers and staff at the check-posts to carry out strict vehicle and person checks and maintain vigilance to ensure law and order in the capital region.

Mr. Jindal asked police personnel to patrol their assigned areas and act against people involved in unlawful activities or disturbing public peace. He told them to alert senior officers whenever any suspicious or anti-social activity was detected.

Noting the frequent visits of VVIPs and VIPs to the capital region, the SP said advance security measures were needed to ensure there were no lapses in their protection.

The SP also inspected the progress of the under-construction Forensic Science Laboratory building of the State police department, and told officials to complete the project on time without compromising quality.

He also reviewed the building chosen for the office and residential accommodation of the Additional SP (Law and Order), and suggested measures to monitor law and order directly from the location.

He inspected accommodation for APSP personnel and asked the DSPs concerned to resolve any issues faced by the staff.
