Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar has directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply across the State, even if electricity demand rises sharply during the peak summer months.
During a teleconference with the CMDs of power utilities on Saturday, Mr. Ravi Kumar stressed that while unseasonal rains and high temperatures could lead to temporary disruptions, restoration of supply must be carried out without delay. He made it clear that no power cuts, whether official or unofficial, should occur anywhere in the State. In cases where supply has to be suspended due to unavoidable technical reasons, the public must be informed in advance.
