The lack of uniformity in curriculum and school boards is the main reason for the students failing in Kannada language, according to a report titled “Why do children fail in Kannada?” submitted to the government by the Kannada Development Authority (KDA).
Prof. Purashothama Bilimale, chairman of KDA, submitted the report to Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa on Thursday which highlights how language curriculum and priorities vary widely between different school boards.
