The annual Mahanadu organised by the NRI TDP Saudi Arabia chapter witnessed an overwhelming response with over 1,000 Telugu expatriates from different parts of the Kingdom participating in the grand gathering.

The event was marked by cultural celebrations, community bonding and political interactions, according to a communication from the organisation on Sunday (May 17, 2026).

“Telugu communities living abroad deserve stronger support systems and continued engagement from the government,” said Andhra Pradesh Minister Kondapalli Srinivas while virtually addressing the NRI Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Saudi Arabia Mahanadu celebrations held in Dammam on Friday (May 15, 2026).

Welcoming the participants, NRI TDP Saudi Arabia President Khalid Saifulla appreciated the enthusiastic participation of Telugu families and party supporters who travelled from various regions of Saudi Arabia to attend the event.

NRI TDP Gulf Council President Ravi Radhakrishna, who could not attend due to personal reasons, conveyed his greetings through a video message.

Special guests included Bode Prasad and TDP leader Mahasena Rajesh, who interacted with the Telugu diaspora and praised efforts to preserve Telugu culture overseas.

Mr. Prasad assured expatriates that their concerns would be addressed, while Mr. Rajesh appreciated the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh for supporting Telugu people abroad.

Virtual addresses were also delivered by Palamaneru N. Amarnath Reddy and other leaders. The meeting concluded with resolutions seeking GAMCA visa and medical examination centres in Andhra Pradesh and welfare support for families of deceased Gulf migrant workers.

The event featured cultural performances by Raghu Kunche and Malavika. The organising team included Ananth Srinivas Dadi, Jani Basha, Rajsekhar, Koganti Srinivasa Rao, Bharadwaj, Chandrasekhar, Bhanu Prakash, Chennupati Naresh, Gaddam Shilpa and Akshita.
