A two-day international conference on NutriVision 2026 – Integrating Nutrition and Food Technology for Sustainable Well-being began at the JSS College of Pharmacy here on Thursday.
CSIR-CFTRI Director Giridhar Parvatham inaugurated the conference organised jointly by Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Life Sciences, Mysuru and the ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur in association with the CSIR-CFTRI with support from Anusandhan National Research Foundation.
NutriVision 2026 aims to promote healthier communities through policy-driven strategies, innovation in nutrition and food technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration for sustainable well-being. The conference also emphasises raising awareness about the role of AI in nutrition.
It is structured around key themes such as Food Science & Technology, Human and Molecular Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, and Public Health Nutrition, along with advanced areas like food biotechnology, nanotechnology, AI in Nutrition, and food safety.
A major highlight is the platform for oral and poster presentations, attracting wide participation from students, researchers, and faculty across India and abroad, with awards for outstanding work, a press release said.
Overall, the conference showcases cutting-edge innovations—from smart proteins to digital research tools—and aims to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and healthcare to address global nutrition challenges sustainably, the release added.
