Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions and road closures in connection with the construction of the comprehensive elevated corridor between Nalgonda X roads and Owaisi Junction. The diversions will remain in force till July 1 as part of the initial phase of the project.

As part of the works, one carriageway between Saidabad Y Junction and Yadagiri Theatre will remain closed for construction. Motorists have also been advised to avoid the stretch between Nalgonda X roads and Owaisi Hospital (DMRL Junction) as heavy traffic congestion is expected on surrounding roads and junctions.

Traffic travelling from Nalgonda X roads towards Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan will be diverted from Saidabad Y junction via the DCP South East Zone office, Saidabad police station, Saraswathi Nagar Kaman, Sankeswar Bazaar, Singareni Colony, Onus Robotic Hospital and Champapet before reaching the DMRL rotary. This diversion will apply to four-wheelers, RTC buses and heavy goods vehicles.

Two and three-wheelers travelling from Chanchalguda towards IS Sadan will be diverted at Saidabad Y Junction through Saidabad police station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar and Dobhighat before joining the IS Sadan main road.

Two and three-wheelers travelling towards Champapet from Chanchalguda will be diverted through Saidabad police station, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Vinay Nagar and Bharath Garden before reaching Champapet Main Road and the DMRL rotary.

RTC buses and heavy vehicles travelling from Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet will be diverted at Nalgonda X Roads through Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh X Roads, Gaddiannaram, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanifiya Mosque near Saroornagar Lake, Singareni Colony and Onus Hospital before reaching Champapet Main Road.

The Traffic Police have appealed to commuters to plan their journeys in advance, use alternative routes and follow traffic updates issued through the Hyderabad Traffic Police’s official social media platforms. Motorists requiring assistance can contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626.
