As part of a promotional drive, May 2026 is being observed as “Solar Month” to create awareness about the PM Surya Ghar scheme and accelerate rooftop solar adoption.
The campaign, being implemented across all power distribution companies in the State under the directions of the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, aims to increase registrations, speed-up site inspections, maximise installation of rooftop solar units and encourage enrolment of new vendors.
