After catchment areas in Megamalai forest and surrounding pockets received steady rainfall during the last 24 hours, the famous Suruli waterfalls in Theni district saw a huge turnout of visitors from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Forest officials say the waterfalls situated near Cumbum attracts visitors from Theni, Dindigul, Madurai and other southern towns regularly. With rising temperatures, when many waterfalls have very little flow of water, Suruli waterfalls has become the preferred destination.
