The A.P. State Disaster Response and Fire Services department is planning to construct 33 model fire stations in Amaravati seed capital for providing foolproof protection from fire mishaps.

“As many government buildings, residential complexes, education institutions, Assembly, Secretariat and other facilities are coming up in Amaravati, a complete fire protection system is required,” the Fire Services department officials said. The model fire stations will be constructed with imported vehicles and fire fighting equipment. Necessary training will be given to the fire personnel in operating the new equipment, said Fire Services Director General (DG) P. Venkata Ramana.
