Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve chaired a district-level meeting of officers on June 15 to discuss implementation of the directions issued by Karnataka’s Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar during a meeting on June 13 with all Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers, and Superintendents of Police in Bengaluru.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Bharat Jodo Youth Clubs will be set up in each gram panchayat with proper guidelines. Secularism, leadership, employment, sports, fitness and community service will be included in the programme. Officers should take initiatives to work on it effectively, he added.

The government of Karnataka is planning to organise a Janaspandana programme to hear people’s grievances. Government officers should dispose of the applications submitted by people seeking solutions for their problems within the specified period. A committee will be formed to supervise the initiative, he said.

Mr. Pandve said that officers must insert citizen charters in their respective departments in the next 10 days to show the government’s commitment, quality and standards in services.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to convert B Khatas into A Khatas, remove encroachments on government land, implement RTC on the land, and clear any pending work in 10 days, as the Chief Minister has directed them to work on the advisories.

The Chief Minister has directed officials to ensure maximum number of registrations for jobs, for electricity connections to bring consumers under the formal electricity network, for comprehensive solutions on complaints based on AI, and details on vacant posts in government departments, the Deputy Commissioner said.

Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Lavish Ordia, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kolar were among those present in the meeting.
