A house abutting the Panthankudi channel under construction in Sellur collapsed here on Thursday night.
M. Manimala, resident of the house located at Jeeva Road in Sellur, said while her husband, two children, father-in-law and mother-in-law were asleep inside the house, her father-in-law noticed the door lock vibrating.
“As he went outside immediately and checked the building, he saw the whole house trembling,” she added.
