Of the total 5,07,948 candidates who appeared, including regular and private candidates in general and vocational streams, in the Telangana Intermediate Second Year examinations held in March 2026, 3,58,490 candidates cleared the examination, an average 70.58% pass.

First year results

The results of the first-year candidates, combining all streams, stood at 66.20%. In all, over 9.97 lakh candidates registered for the examination.

In both, first and second year results, girls outshone boys. In the first-year, girls achieved 74.40% while boys recorded 57.69% Among Second-year students, 78.65% girls cleared the examination, and 62.50% boys passed.

The results were released by Advisor (Public Affairs) K. Keshava Rao and Principal Secretary (Education) Yogita Rana, and senior BIE officials at the Board’s headquarters in Hyderabad on Sunday (April 12, 2026).
