Convocation ceremony, green initiative

The sixth annual convocation ceremony and a green initiative that achieved an entry in Indian Book of Records by planting 6,600 saplings within 15 minutes were held at Sethu Bhaskara Agricultural College and Research Foundation in Visalayankottai near Karaikudi.

Chairman Sethu Kumaran presided over the programme. Principal V. Baby Rani welcomed the gathering.

Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar emphasised that students should combine knowledge, skills, and social responsibility.

J. Ranganathan, Honorary Consul of the Myanmar based in Chennai; chairman of the Medical Accreditation Subcommittee and the Unani Medical Research Subcommittee Rajendran Anaimuthu; and founder and CEO of Digi Agricon Senthil Kumar were present.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award was presented to C. Azhagumeena and R. Subashini. Mr. Sethu Bhaskaran Special Certificate Award was presented to S. Irene Aistina.

Records Manager of the Indian Book of Records U. Rajesh and General Manager of the Amazing Global Achievers Club P. Balasubramanian assessed the large-scale tree-planting. “Master Mind Award” from the Indian Book of Records was presented to Mr. Sethu Kumaran.
