Two siblings drowned in the Lower Bhavani Project (LBP) canal near Arachalur here on Friday evening (May 1, 2026).
Police said B. Santosh (17), a Class XII student, and his younger brother B. Sanjay (15), a Class X student, had come from Musiri in Tiruchi district to stay with relatives at Gopalikadu near Arachalur for the holidays.
