The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) observed National Surgeons Week from June 8 to 14 and the second annual Surgeons Day on June 14 under the theme “Healthy Surgeon, Healthy Nation”.
According to a release, ASI chapters across the country organised blood donation camps, free health camps, tree plantation drives and awareness programmes.
In Chennai, an anti-drug rally with around 500 participants was flagged off by K.S. Narenthiran Nair, Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, South. The concluding event was held at SRIHER, Chennai, where surgeons from across India participated in sports and wellness activities.
