HYDERABAD

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would soon take up a massive protest programme against the delay in construction and completion of three Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) in Hyderabad and the Congress Government’s neglect of the city pushing it into a crisis within two-and-a-half years of coming to power.

At a party workers meeting held in Hyderabad on Sunday, working president of the party K.T. Rama Rao asked the party ranks to put efforts for the party’s success in the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. He stated that bringing back BRS to power was the only way left for putting back the city on to the tracks of development again.

In the “our booth and our responsibility” programme taken up by the party for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls being taken up by the Election Commission soon, he said booth level agents and senior workers of the party must be alert on the SIR drive and prevent any unreasonable deletion of voters names from the rolls.

Stating that the Congress Government had pushed the city into crisis in just 30 months after coming to power, Mr. Rao said the government was unable to maintain even basic civic facilities in the City. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made futile efforts as he focused on the non-existent Future City by neglecting the existing city (Hyderabad).
