Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan on Saturday (May 2, 2026) said party president C. Joseph Vijay would emerge as a decisive leader in Tamil Nadu, and that the 2026 Assembly election results would mark a “historic victory”.

Addressing reporters at the party office in Karattur near Gobichettipalayam, he described the organisation as one rooted in “sacrifice and humanism” and committed to grassroots work. He said Mr. Vijay had steered the party through “numerous challenges”, working relentlessly in the face of opposition.
