The Congress and its allies have been decisively rejected for pursuing ‘divisive politics aimed at fragmenting the nation into North-South’, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said on Monday, declaring that voters across the country had delivered a ‘fitting lesson’ to the party.
Pointing to the latest election results, Mr. Rao asserted that public opinion nationwide was clearly turning against the Congress and the INDIA alliance, and in favour of the BJP’s model of governance. Speaking to the media amid victory celebrations at the BJP State office, he said the results reflected growing public confidence in Prime Minister Modi’s governance.
