Canvassing votes for the AMMK candidate M. Rajasekaran, who is taking on Minister for Municipal Administration K.N. Nehru in Tiruchi West constituency, Mr. Dhinakaran said that the DMK, which was known for its scientific corruption, had created a benchmark in looting public money in the last five years. Corruption had been the hallmark of the DMK rule ever since it assumed office in 2021. The Ministers had indulged in systematic corruption right from awarding contracts to postings and transfer of government employees and officers. The AMMK leader said that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had been trying to create an illusion that the safety of minorities would be at risk if the AIADMK-led alliance was elected to power. It was nothing but an attempt to deceive the minorities, particularly Muslims. India was one of the safest countries for Muslims. It was due to effective governance led by the BJP at the Centre. It was only in India they celebrated Ramzan with happiness and peace. However, they could not celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner because of war clouds in most West Asian countries. Hence, the minorities should not give room for diverting attention.
