The Kerala Cabinet which met here on Saturday (May 2, 2026) has decided to provide financial assistance to the victims of the Valparai accident. This was the last Cabinet meeting of the incumbent government.
Several members of the teaching staff at the Government U.P. School, Pang, in Malappuram and some of the family members, who were on a trip in a hired vehicle, had been killed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned on the Valparai -Pollachi route on April 17.
