The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has signed a lease agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) to set up a corporate hospital in Amaravati, the capital region of Andhra Pradesh, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region.
According to an official release issued by APCRDA on Thursday (May 7, 2026), the agreement was finalised for a 500-bed multi-speciality hospital equipped with advanced medical facilities and modern treatment services. The proposed hospital is expected to improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Amaravati and surrounding areas.

For the project, the APCRDA has allotted two acres of land on a lease basis in Nidamarru revenue village of Mangalagiri mandal in the Amaravati region. The lease agreement was formally handed over to KIMS representatives by APCRDA Joint Director (Estates) Zubin Chiran Roy, who signed the document on behalf of the authority.
Officials said the project marks another significant milestone in the development of Amaravati as a people’s capital with world-class infrastructure and institutional facilities.
